Conspiracy

The Book
A mystery/thriller with elements of science fiction, it merges fiction with facts similar to Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code.

Conspiracy reveals the shadowy underside of the illusion we call reality, revolving around the discovery of an ancient shadow organization of immense power.

Reviews: “wild and unexpected”; “a real page turner”; “an unforgettable experience”. Michael Cross had a troubled past. Forces set into motion long before his birth put him in conflict with the ancient, secret organization. Who began the Brotherhood? How long had they existed? A hundred years? A thousand? In that time, they had gained massive power, even infiltrating governments. How can such an organization be destroyed? This is the task that Michael Cross faces. In his conflict with the Brotherhood he discovers a secret so overwhelming, so unimaginable that it changes his life forever.

One thing is certain–nothing is what it seems. Conspiracy is available through Amazon.

Flaherty's Crossing eBook & Trade Paperback

Kaylin McFarren, author of Flaherty's Crossing is a rare bird indeed. Not a migratory sort, she prefers to hug the West Coast and keep family within visiting range. Although she has virtually been around the world, she was born in California, relocated with her family to Washington, and nested with her husband in Oregon. In addition to playing an active role in his business endeavors, she has been involved in all aspects of their three daughters' lives - taxi duties, cheer leading coaching, script rehearsals, and relationship counseling, to name but a few. Now she enjoys spending undisciplined time with her two young grandsons and hopes to have many more.

Although Kaylin wasn't born with a pen in hand like so many of her talented fellow authors, she has been actively involved in both business and personal writing projects for many years. As the director of a fine art gallery, she assisted in furthering the careers of numerous visual artists who under her guidance gained recognition through promotional opportunities and in national publications. Eager to spread her own creative wings, she has since steered her energy toward writing novels. As a result, she has earned more than a dozen literary awards and was a 2008 finalist in the prestigious RWA® Golden Heart contest.

Creations Carpenter

Author Randolf Nickolaus Alvis
"A Man After God's Heart"
Splinters On The Carpenter's Floor

God is continually shaping us to conform to the image of his Son. Splinter's On The Carpenter's Floor evolved from many nights in prayer to God to remove me out of a deep depression. Jesus was a carpenter by trade, but the splinter's he created are those that fall from men's hearts. He's using a plane on our emotions, filing down our pride, and putting a fine stain of his blood of Calvary on each of his works. Ask Jesus into your life and he will carve your life into something very beautiful. The sign in his carpentry shop window says 'Always open, quality work from a master craftsman' Praise His Holy Name!

Russian History - Odysseya

ODYSSEYA - An Epic Journey from Russia to Australia

"A fascinating and moving Australian immigrant saga set against the backdrop of ancient and modern Russian history."

Alex was born in Shanghai, China. At the age of three, he was taken to Harbin and at nine, in 1951, to Sydney, Australia. After an active career as a Professional Engineer and a long record of civic and community involvement, he retired and lives with his wife Alexandra in Castle Hill. They have two children and four grandchildren. In Nov 2008 he was awarded as Laureate-grand-finalists in a Sydney Book Festival.

The author provides short chapters with to the most part, clear points and conclusions. At its finest, Vassilieff uses language so well that the reader is prompted to learn more about Russian art and through this, to consider some of the darker aspects of the story. This is very good writing and the points made are subtle and wry with a generous humour. There is very little convoluted or over emotional indulgence and the story flows clearly and with almost no dull patches. The author has packed around his family's history some interesting asides about cuisine, theosophy, art, music and literature, the effects of the war on ordinary lives and the hard work, sense of freedom and ultimately the development of families thrust into a new and totally different country.

The introduction is very well managed. The author has chosen to highlight the period of Russian history that ordinary or lay readers often do not understand - the effects of the arrival of the Viking warriors and how this can be traced and understood to have lead to the fall of the Romanov Empire are excellently drawn together. Spanning Old Russia to the Russian Diaspora., the content provides much historical information sourced from a diverse collection of Russian chronicles and history. However the human interest is continually brought to the fore through the interweaving of personal accounts, reflection and, as the author attests, an anthropological and forensic application to what he recalls and has been told.

As I was writting my memoirs I understood the words uttered by a famous 19th Century Danish Writer and Philosopher. "Life must be lived forward but it can only be understood backwards"

Healthy Spiritual Habits

Spiritual Nutrition: Healthy Eating for the Christian Heart focuses on the development of healthy spiritual habits by identifying five core spiritual nutrients and comparing them to their physical counterparts:

•Prayer is like water-vital for life and essential for survival.
•Bible study is like protein necessary for growth.
•Christian fellowship is like carbohydrates-gives us energy.
•Worship is like healthy fats-helps keep our hearts healthy.
•Thinking on good things is like vitamins-necessary for helping the othernutrients work effectively.

"Just as the flab in our physical bodies will only go away through consistently healthy eating and exercise, our spiritual flab can only be removed through a good spiritual diet and exercise that becomes a part of our lives every day".

New Blogs Free Advertisement vs. Paid Advertisement

There's lots of free advertisement available online. You can spend endless hours signing guest books, registering at this site and that site, joining directories that promises thousands of hits, link to this blog and link to that blog and all for free. However, after 10 or 20 hours of doing this, what have you accomplished. Truth is even if people come to your site or blog, your site and the content is what keeps them there.

My suggestion is that before you start linking your blog to other blogs and going through the process of the above. First, create some great content on your blog for you're visitors to read. Make sure that you have your blog filled with content and then consider marketing, advertising or sharing you're blog.

While I would definitely take advantage of free advertising, marketing, links exchanges, and all those goodies. If you are offering products or services, I encourage you to also have a marketing plan that includes paid ads that targets specific areas online.

The bottom line is this. If you are trying to sell a product or a services, you are going to have to spend money to advertise those products and services.

Turning Things Around

Sometimes when we are on the right path, things are progressing and moving along well. We are excited, having fun, and filled with expectations and joy. Then all the sudden we take the wrong off ramp of the freeway and get side tracked. Many times it's other people that even show us that off ramp. Yet there we are somewhat stuck. When this happens, we need to get back on course, complete the race and complete the projects that we started. It's easy to see when this has happened. Our joy is gone.

Always complete what you started, especially when you were having so much fun doing it in the first place. And if all the sudden you take the wrong off ramp and everything falls apart. Just try to get back on track and redeem the situation.

Moving Forward With Purpose

Sometimes we come to places where we just have to move forward. It's like the seasons of yesterday have taken a toll upon us, and moving forward is much better that standing still. However, when we come to this place we must move forward with purpose by setting new goals to reach.

For it's better to move forward and have purpose in life, than to stand still in a pond of stagnant waters. The good things in live are found in the rivers, rivers filled with purpose.

Quote Of The Day

It's better to keep your logs in a river that is flowing, than to hang out with beaver's that whisper into your ears while building dams that stop the flow of your river. In the end, the river will keep flowing and all your dreams will be stuck in a pond, while the beavers suck the life right out of your dreams.

Never toss aside the ones that God sends to help you pursue your dreams.
